Making an adoption plan can be a very empowering choice. We’re here to help you explore all your pregnancy options, including the many choices adoption provides.

There are so many options available to you from the type of plan to the type of family you want your child to have. Some of the different types of plans include but are not limited to open, semi-open and closed. When you make an plan, you both choose a family for your child and choose your own future.

Choices is here to help you make the best decisions for you and your family.  Our services are free, confidential and non-judgmental.

Through Choices’ free consultations, we will talk through the process and answer any questions you have. Both our private attorney referrals and agency referrals are at no cost to our clients.

Open Adoption
Open adoption is a process in which the biological and adoptive families have access to varying degrees of each other’s personal information and have an option of contact.

Semi-Open Adoption
A semi-open adoption occurs when the potential birth mother or birth families experience non-identifying interaction with the adoptive families. In most cases, interaction is facilitated by a third party which is usually the agency or attorney.

Closed Adoption
Closed adoption (also called “confidential” and sometimes “secret”) is a process by which an infant is placed with another family, and the record of the biological parent(s) is kept sealed. Often, the biological father is not recorded—even on the original birth certificate.

In most cases, financial assistance for medical and living expenses is available for the birth mother, along with many other benefits.
