ADOPTION

CHILDCARE

Free Clothing Store that equips families up to twice a month with clothing for every member of their household. Located at 2400 Bower Lane Cleveland, TN.
COLLEGE AND CAREER

COUNSELING
Wide range of counseling services for anyone 12 years or older. They work with low income individuals or families that need a sliding scale for counseling services ($10-$100). Call (423) 499-9535 to make an appointment.
Counseling for abuse/trauma, anxiety/depression, ADHD, Child/adolescent issues, divorce recovery, eating disorders, Grief/loss, marriage/relationships, and much more. They accept TnCare & GA Medicaid. Call (423) 756-2894 to make an appointment.
DETOX/SUBSTANCE ABUSE
A live-in counseling program for substance abuse and addiction recovery. They are in middle TN but accept patients from anywhere. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Free Safety Planning, Court Assistance, Needs Assessments/Referrals, Orders of Protection, Emotional Support/Counseling. Their phone number is (423) 643-7609 and they are open M-F from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

FOOD
A food pantry (Tuesday-Friday open from 10am-1pm). Open to anyone in need and there is no appointment needed. They allow you to visit two times a month, and require you to show ID. They’re located at 200 W. 38th Street Chattanooga, TN.

HOMELESSNESS
Temporary Overnight Shelter for men & women (cannot guarantee a bed if you get there after 5 because it is first come, first serve unless you come often and are on their “preferred status” list), can also provide food bags. HOUSING/NON-EMERGENCY SHELTER
Low income and public housing assistance (including money for rent) as well as HUD Section 8 housing voucher program and managed properties. To qualify you must be 18+, low Income Individuals and families, pass criminal background check, cannot have outstanding bill on another residence. Phone number is (423) 752-4893. MEDICAID SUPPORT/WIC/SNAP
If you need assistance applying for TennCare, SNAP, or WIC you can visit your local health department. Walk in’s are welcome, but appointments are preferred. However, if you are looking to file an appeal or discuss concerns regarding your benefits, we would recommend contacting The Tennessee Justice Center at (615) 255-0331.
If you need assistance applying for Georgia Medicaid, SNAP, or WIC you can visit your local Division of Family and Children Services office. However, if you are looking to file an appeal, please contact The Georgia Legal Services Program at (833) 457-7529.
RAPE CRISIS SUPPORT
They help those who are dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault by providing a safe, emergency shelter for victims fleeing DV/SA. Their Rape Crisis Center also provides 24/7 access to trained nurses who can conduct forensic medical exams to be used as evidence in legal proceedings if the victim chooses to pursue prosecution. Clients can call or visit in person for confidential support, free counseling, assistance with creating a safety plan, and many other forms of advocacy. Phone number is (423) 755-2700.
